Welcome to Davis Elementary's Library Media Center
The purpose of the Davis Elementary School Library Media Center (DELMC) is to provide various information and technology resources for the Davis school community. The DELMC is set up to support the research needs of our students and faculty by providing library books, Internet access, and other available resources. Additionally, the purpose of DELMC is to help students develop a love for reading and empower them with the skills necessary to become successful, life-long learners.
While our physical school location remains temporarily closed, you can still use the Library remotely. Here are some online websites/resources/links..
MyOn
Read digitally using MyOn! Access MyOn through Clever. You can find books within your lexile and explore many wonderful books.
Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a computer-based program designed for students to help motivate and monitor their reading practice and develop comprehension skills. Three times a year, students are administered the STAR Reading/STAR Early Literacy Test, which gives them an individual reading level. Students then read books at their appropriate reading level and take an Accelerated Reader reading practice quiz after they finish the story. Both the students and teachers are provided with immediate feedback on the reading process. Students can also take vocabulary practice test, literacy skills practice, and textbook quizzes. Students also are administered the STAR Math test for a recommended math level.
